Waste Information

You can offer doors and windows with frames that are in good condition to, for example, the Nihtisilta Reuse Centre.

Doors are sorted at the Sortti Station according to the material:

• Interior doors, wooden doors: Pallet for impregnated wood. Small metal parts, such as hinges and handles, do not need to be removed.
• Door with a small window: Large pallet for mixed waste.
• Door with a large window, glass door, mirror door: Pallet for non-combustible waste.

Old fire doors may contain asbestos. Asbestos is only accepted by the Ämmässuo eco-industrial centre. Its acceptance is subject to a charge. Please see the instructions: asbestos.
