Waste Information

Invasive plant species include hogweed, policeman's helmet and Japanese knotgrass, the spread of which should be prevented in Finland. The parts of the plant that can spread it (such as seeds, roots) must be packed carefully a into a plastic bag and sorted into mixed waste.

  • Place small amounts into mixed waste container in a sealed plastic bag / sack.
  • Put large amounts of invasive plants in closed garbage bags and place them in the small-size mixed waste container at Sortti Stations for the price of garden waste.
  • We receive the stalks of Rugosa roses at Sortti stations as brushwood, and they do not need to be packed in garbage bags.
