Furniture, textiles and other personal property contaminated with bed bugs
Contact a pest control company that will poison the pests and transport the items contaminated with bed bugs for treatment (service subject to a charge)
HSY does not receive, transport or handle any personal property containing live bed bugs. HSY’s Sortti pick-up service also does not accept objects contaminated with bed bugs for transport.
If furniture and other property has been properly treated, e.g. by a pest control company, and the items no longer contain live bed bugs, they can be delivered to a Sortti Station and sorted into mixed waste. A fee in accordance with the Sortti Station’s price list is charged for the waste.
