The pipeline pressure for tap water will decrease in the Leinelä and Asola areas in Vantaa

There will be a permanent change in the pipeline pressure for tap water in the Leinelä and Asola areas of Vantaa, when the water pressure will drop by about 2 bar in the coming weeks. The planned change will be implemented in the week beginning January 18th when the new booster pump station is commissioned. The drop in water pressure has no effect on water distribution, but in some places the water flow directions may change temporarily.

The ideal pipeline pressure is three to five bars. The water pressure in the area after the change is 3-6 bar, while the current pipeline pressure varies between 5-7.5 bar. By reducing regional water pressure, we control leakage volumes and save energy. Due to the terrain, the pipeline pressure cannot be optimized for everyone, so a property-specific pressure increase or decrease will continue to be necessary in some properties.
