How to order an e-invoice from HSY

You can reduce the amount of paper mail and save the environment by ordering your water and waste invoices as e-invoices in the future. The carbon footprint of an e-invoice is only about one third of that of a paper invoice.

What is an e-invoice and why should I use it?

An e-invoice contains the same information as a paper invoice. The only difference is the delivery method. No more manual entry of payment details – no more typing errors! So you don't necessarily need a computer to pay the invoice; you can pay it conveniently using your phone or tablet.
The e-invoice is automatically saved in your online bank and you can be sure to find all your invoices in one place. The storage period for invoices varies between online banks. E-invoice is also delivered reliable and always on time. You can also easily access it during a holiday trip, for example, through your online bank.

The e-invoice order must be made in your own online bank. Separate e-invoice orders must be placed for water contracts and waste contracts. If you have several water contracts or waste services for different properties, remember to order an e-invoice separately for each of them.

Order an e-invoice in your own online bank as follows:

1. Take out the invoice you received from us. In your online bank, find the functionality for ordering new e-invoices.
2. Select “Helsingin seudun ympäristöpalvelut HSY” as the invoicer and either a water bill or a waste invoice as the e-invoice to be ordered. Please note that separate e-invoice orders must be made for water invoices and waste invoices.
3. Use the reference number found in the bank transfer section of the invoice. The water invoice reference number starts with numbers "33" and the waste invoice one with numbers "34".
4. Choose whether you want to approve each invoice separately or whether the invoices should be paid automatically on the due date.
5. Please check the information and save. The next invoice may still be a paper invoice, but after that you will receive your e-invoice directly in your online bank.

E-invoicing is an easy and secure way to receive invoices. You can pay your invoices anywhere, any time.

Your invoice information is visible in the online bank, so you only need to check and confirm the invoice if you have not selected automatic payments. The invoices will remain in your online bank’s archive if you want to view them later. If you accidentally forget to pay your invoice, we will send you a payment reminder by paper mail.
