Fireplace replacement
Fireplace replacement
If the house has an old, worn-out stove or an open fireplace that is useless as a heat source, acquiring a new heat-storing fireplace may be advisable. Ask your chimney sweeper about the condition of your fireplaces.
Get a low-emission fireplace. A new fireplace is usually lower in emissions than an old one. Among wood-burning sauna stoves, CE-marked stoves have lower emissions than older models. The Ecodesign Directive entered into force at the beginning of 2022, setting maximum emission limits for new fireplaces on the market. In these new fireplaces, particle emissions from flue gases may not exceed 40 milligrams per cubic metre. The directive does not apply to sauna stoves.
